I'm in the process of updating the website. Adding a new page and changing others around a bit. In the meantime, I have some good news. I have my second book cover is coming out next month. My artwork was chosen for the cover of Catherynne Valente's new book of poetry entitled "A Guide to Folktales in Fragile Dialects". I made a Kitsune themed construction for the cover using antique fabric and hand crochet trim for the dress and a real (antique) animal skin. The book will be officially coming out May 23, in time for Wiscon, which I'll be at, showing my artwork. Click on the thumbnail below to see a larger picture of the cover.

A year after posting the first chapter of Lisa Stock and I's internet/Flash saga "Through the Cobweb Forest", we are happy to announce the completion of our story. Chapter 10 is online and ready to view. Be sure to take a look and see how Helena's story ends. For those who have been reading the story since the beginning - thank you for taking this journey with us. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

I recently made a video for Chicago musician Neil Jendon. It was for a live performance he had here in Chicago. Hopefully, we'll have a chance to show it again. In the meantime, you can find the video in my Collaborations page.

Some fun news, I've been commissioned to make a couple of boxes as part of the Tiptree literary award. This is from their website. "The James Tiptree Jr. Award is presented annually to a work or works that explore and expand gender roles in science fiction and fantasy. Rather than finding work that falls into some narrow definition of political correctness, this award seeks out work that is thought-provoking, imaginative, and perhaps even infuriating." This years winners are Shelley Jackson for "Half Life" and Catherynne M. Valente for "The Orphans Tales: In the Night Garden". The award. along with the artwork, will be presented om May 27 at Wiscon 2007. I'll post pictures here of the pieces after the awards ceremony.
